Class of 1978

James graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1949, and was co-captain of the 1947 and 1948 football teams.  James earned letters in both football and basketball and was vice-president of his senior class.

Following graduation James earned his Master of Arts Degree in Education from the University of Kansas in 1952, and is working toward a Ph.D. degree in Education.

James taught at East High School in Kansas City and in the Danville (IL) Public School System before joining the staff at William Jewell College in 1950.  James now serves as the Athletic Director at William Jewell College and resides in Liberty.
