Kile P. GuthreyKile P. Guthrey, Sr.

Class of 1977

Kile graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1938 and participate in football, basketball, and baseball.  Kile earned All-Conference honors in both football and basketball his junior and senior seasons, and was co-captain of the basketball team.  During his senior year Kile was voted “Man of the Year.”

Following graduation Kile pursued a ten year career as a salesman and bookkeeper.  In 1948 Kile returned to Miami (MO) to begin a framing career that he continues to this day.

Nine members of Guthrey family have attended of graduated from Missouri Valley College since 1928.  Kile’s father attended the Missouri Valley College Academy which, at the time, was a high school.
