Missouri Valley College Hall of Fame

Cecil Patterson

Class of 1970

Cecil graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1930 and played half back for the Viking football team at 5’-11” and 160 lbs. Cecil played on three conference championship teams in 1927, 1928, and 1929.

Following graduation Cecil worked as a teacher in college in public education from 1930 to 1975 at Pleasant Hill, Odessa, Westport (Kansas City), Southeast (Kansas City), and Osceola.

Cecil had this to say about his experience at Missouri Valley College, “if I had it all to do again, I’d still enroll at Valley thanks to all my helpers.”
