E. M. “Mike” Haggard

Class of 1969

Mike graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1930 and was a letterman in four sports for the Vikings.  Mike earned All-State and All-Conference honors and set the shot put record that stood for two decades.

Following graduation Mike earned his Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Missouri and served as a teacher, coach, and administrator in secondary public education for 43 years.

Mike has served as Alumni President at Missouri Valley College and an Elder in the First Presbyterian Church.
