The Missouri Valley cheerleading program is recognized as one of the top programs in the nation and known for some of the biggest cheerleading scholarships in the country. The Viking Cheer Team cheers at all home football and basketball games and competes in the NAIA Conference Championships every year as well as attending a major Nationals. The squad also participates in various fundraising and public relation events for Missouri Valley College and the community.

In 2013 the Viking Cheerleaders became National champions, by winning the NAIA Small Co-Ed National championship at the NCA National Cheer Competition.  The squad also collected two first place finishes, taking first in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Cheerleading Competition, and taking first place at the NAIA Regional Qualifier in the Small Co-Ed Division.  The Viking Cheerleaders made quite a name for themselves in 2012, competing at the NCA College Cheerleading Nationals held in Daytona Beach, Florida, in April. NCA is one of the largest Cheer and Dance Championships in the world. This event is televised on Fox Sports Net and Varsity TV. This past year the squad was National Runner-Up in the NAIA Small Coed Division. Previous rankings include third place in 2011, third place in 2004, second place in 2003, and winning the National Title in 1999!

The Viking Cheerleaders also competed at the Heart of America Conference Spirit Squad Championships, where this year, the team finished first in the Small Coed Division, as well as earning the Gold Nationals Bid for being the highest scoring team in all divisions. The team also took first in 2011, second in 2007, third place in 2006, and took second place in 2005. We pride ourselves on the hard work and dedication we put in throughout the competition season.
