Matt Rowlett

Matt Rowlett

Matt Rowlett is in his sixth year with the Missouri Valley College athletic training staff. A local from the state of Missouri, he grew up in Mountain View, and graduated from Liberty High School. Rowlett received his bachelor’s degree from Central Methodist University in Athletic Training in 2001, and went on to receive a Masters degree online in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from Emporia State University in 2003. Rowlett's professional experiences includes working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Missouri Southern State University, in Joplin, Missouri, from August 2001-December 2002, proceeded by accepting the assistant athletic trainer position at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, in January 2003-July 2004. Rowlett's duties will be to administer the daily operations of the athletic training facility, provide clinical coverage to four Missouri Valley sports, and also instruct classes at Missouri Valley. Rowlett currently resides in Boonville, Missouri, with his wife, Lori, son, Carter, and daughter, Delaney.

 

David Tomchuk

David Tomchuk

David Tomchuk begins his fifth year at Missouri Valley College as an assistant athletic trainer, Clinical Coordinator of the Missouri Valley College Athletic Training Education Program, and an Assistant Professor in the Division of Nursing and Health Sciences. David completed his undergraduate degrees in Athletic Training and Health Promotion at Southern Oregon University in 2002 and graduated from The University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Master’s of Science in Kinesiology in 2005. During his undergraduate education, David interned with several Oakland Athletics minor league teams. David has been a member of the medical team at several USA Taekwondo events through Bare Essentials Sports Medicine. David’s duties at Missouri Valley College include being the athletic trainer for men’s soccer, men’s volleyball. David currently resides in Marshall.


 




Jennifer McConnell

Jennifer McConnell enters her second year on the Missouri Valley College Athletic Training staff as Assistant Athletic Trainer. Jennifer completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training at Millikin University in Decatur, IL in 2006. After completion of her Bachelor’s Degree, Jennifer pursued her Master of Science Degree in Applied Physiology & Kinesiology at the University of Florida. During her tenure at UF, Jennifer served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic trainer in the high school outreach program. Her positions included Head Athletic Trainer at Trenton High School and Head Athletic Trainer at Santa Fe High School. Here at Missouri Valley College, Jennifer is the athletic trainer for women’s soccer, women’s basketball, and softball. She is also an instructor in the Athletic Training Education Program and the Exercise Science department. Jennifer currently resides in Marshall.

 

 

 

Sierra Fultz
Graduate Assistant Athletic TrainerSierra Fultz

Sierra Fultz is starting her second year with us as part of the Missouri Valley College Athletic Training Department, as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer. Sierra received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Athletic Training from Graceland University in Lamoni, IA. At Graceland University she helped with football, men's & women's soccer, men's basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, and was the Head Athletic Trainer for football at Lamoni High School. Sierra is originally from the state of California, where she was a Student Athletic Trainier at her high school for three years. Sierra will be working towards here Master's Degree in Education Administration from Lindenwood University. While at Missouri Valley College Sierra will be working with the cross country, track & field, tennis, and women's wrestling teams; and will also be teaching First Aid/CPR and Freshman Seminar, and be a Teaching Assistant for Athletic Training Practicum.
