MVC Scholarships

A student is limited to MVC Scholarships not to exceed tuition cost. It is the student's responsibility to inform the Office of Admissions of increased scholarship eligibility. All of the below scholarships must be included in MVC's original scholarship assessment.

Academic Scholarships

To apply for academic scholarships, you must complete the application for admission and be admitted to the college. This documentation in your admissions file becomes your initial application for academic scholarships. Your file will be evaluated and the Admissions Office will notify you of your award in writing.

Presbyterian Church Scholarships

To apply for church scholarships you must work with your minister or appropriate church staff member. A national scholarship application must be

Talent/Department Scholarships

To apply for talent/department scholarships, you must work with your admissions counselor, the appropriate MVC faculty member or coach. Upon their official recommendation, the Admissions Office will notify you of your award.

Endowed Scholarships

Endowed scholarships are available as a result of a gift from alumni and friends of Missouri Valley College.  These scholarships provide invaluable educational access to students that otherwise may not be able to afford this academic opportu­nity and privilege. Many of these awards are available to students who meet specific criteria.  To apply for an endowed  scholarship you must complete and submit an Endowed Scholarship Application by May 15, 2009.

Presidential Full Tuition Admission to MVC 30 ACT, 1300 SAT or above and minimum of 3.5 GPA. Resident students only.
Top Scholar Full Tuition Admission to MVC 3.5 GPA or above and AA Degree required. Resident Students only.
Achievement Half Tuition Admission to MVC 3.0-3.49 GPA and AA Degree required. Resident students only.
Merit Half Tuition Admission to MVC

American Humanics $5,000 Admission to MVC, application for
financial aid and approval from Dean of Human Service Education.
Students with background in Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, YMCA, YWCA, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, 4H, Campfire, Goodwill Industries, Boys Club of America, Junior Achievement of American Red Cross are eligible to apply. Letter of reference from organization required.
A+ Incentive Half Tuition Admission to MVC and high school transcript Verification of A+ status.
Dual Credit $2,000 Admission to MVC Completion of 6 credit hours at MVC and 2.50 GPA required.
National Merit $250 - $2,500 Admission to MVC and application for
financial aid

Finalist in National Merit Competition.

Amounts are awarded based on students various talents including, but not limited to academics, art, music, leadership, athletics and spirit squad abilities.
