Academic advisors are assigned when a student enrolls for the first time. The Registrar’s Office makes every attempt to keep advising loads below 30 students and in most cases below 20 students. Advisors are asked to keep an up to date advising file on each advisee. The file should contain an advising copy of the transcript, transcript evaluations for transfer students, core & major check sheets and other pertinent information.

The Registrar’s office runs new transcripts at the close of every semester for faculty advisors. Faculty will also receive mid-term grade reports to distribute to their advisees.

Advisors are asked to ensure that their advisees have all core curriculum requirements completed by the end of their fourth semester. Further detailed advising information is available in the Faculty Manual.
