Missouri Valley College offers Bachelor of Arts degrees in the areas of Art, English, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Philosophy and Religion, Speech Communication, Theatre, and Music. Courses in Music, Spanish, French, Latin, and English as a Second Language are also offered. English, Dance, and Music Minors are also available at Missouri Valley College.

Professionals who have experience in the working world teach classes in the Arts and Humanities Division. All students--freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors--have the opportunity to study under their guidance: artists; ministers who actively serve in area pulpits and as counselors; writers and scholars; small-to major-market broadcasters; actors, designers, and musicians.

Missouri Valley College offers Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Associate of Arts degrees in the following areas

Accounting, Economics, and Business Administration with the following concentrations: Finance, Management, Marketing and Small Business Development. The division also offers a two-year Associate of Arts Degree with a major in Small Business Management. Students are encouraged to seek double majors within the division or in a complimentary discipline such as Computer Information Systems. Minors are available in Accounting, Agribusiness, Business Administration, or Economics.

Education and Physical Education
The Missouri Valley College Teacher Education Program is approved by the Missouri State Board of Education and Accredited by North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. MVC offers certification in the following areas: Elementary Grades, Early Childhood, Special Education Cross Categorical, Middle School, and Secondary School. Missouri Valley Teacher Education graduates are well-represented throughout the nation with a 95% employment rate.


Division of Human Services

Missouri Valley College offers Bachelor of Arts degrees in the following areas: Human Services/Agency Management, Recreation Administration.

A student may apply for the specialized American Humanics program, qualifying to become a certified American Humanics graduate. American Humanics works through a unique partnership with colleges and universities. Academic courses stress the knowledge to develop successful nonprofit youth agency administrators. American Humanics was founded at Missouri Valley College in 1948, and Missouri Valley College is the first institution to bring American Humanics into international light.


Division of Math and Science

Missouri Valley College offers Bachelor of Science degrees in the following areas: Biology, Computer Information Systems, and Mathematics. MVC also offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. Minors are available in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The Math and Science Division collaborates with the teacher education program to offer certification to teach Science and Mathematics.

Division of Social Science

Missouri Valley College offers Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degrees in the following areas: History, Political Science/Public Administration, Alcohol & Drug Studies, Criminal Justice, Psychology, and Sociology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Studies Education. A pre-law curriculum is an option for those interested in law school. A highly qualified faculty with doctorate degrees and professional experience prepare students for careers and graduate programs through ongoing academic advising related to each student's program of study and career objectives. Practicum and internship experiences are available as well as service learning and volunteer opportunities.
