Dual Credit

Instructors

Missouri Valley College strives to ensure a high quality education; therefore, instructors chosen to teach dual credit courses must meet the following qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree with a minimum of 18 hours in the field they will teach.
  • Master's degree in education or area in which they will teach.

Expectations of Instructors

In order to teach a dual credit course through Missouri Valley College you must:

  • Provide MVC with a copy of your resume
  • Provide MVC official transcripts verifying your higher education
  • Sign and return two copies of your Dual Credit Instructor Contract to MVC verifying your classes and course credit hours
  • Provide MVC with a syllabus for your class
  • Work with your high school's counselor or principal to help the students in your class complete the dual credit registration packet
  • Verify class rosters
  • Provide mid-term grades
  • Provide final grades

Compensation

Instructors will receive the following compensation for teaching the dual credit classes:

  • $20 per credit hour per student
  • Up to $100 reimbursement for continuing education
  • Faculty/staff pass to all MVC regular season fine arts and athletic events
