About Missouri Valley College
Missouri Valley College is a private, four-year liberal arts college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). The beautiful 150-acre campus is in Marshall in west central Missouri. Just ten miles north of Interstate 70, the campus is strategically located 80 miles northeast of Kansas City, MO, and 50 miles northwest of Columbia, MO.
Founded in 1889, MVC is a liberal arts college that provides educational, social and cultural experiences in a Christian environment. MVC offers over 30 majors and 7 pre-professional programs, and 12 sports and 20 varsity teams. The most popular majors include business and education, and the newest majors are nursing, graphic design, and hospitality & tourism management, which will begin in Fall 2009.
The liberal arts heritage focuses on scholarship, critical thinking and academic excellence to prepare students to become members of a responsible citizenry. With an enrollment of approximately 1,400 students, Missouri Valley College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, a Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
