The Missouri Valley College Viking Learning Academy provides service learning, experiential learning, practicum and internship opportunities for multiple academic fields, while also providing quality child care to the Missouri Valley College and Marshall communities.

    The Missouri Valley College Viking Learning Academy works to improve the quality of life and opportunity in the Missouri Valley College Community by:

    • Promoting and providing the Marshall community with quality care for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years
    • Enabling the parents of children to pursue higher education by providing quality, convenient and affordable child care
    • Providing service learning, experiential learning opportunities, practicum and internship opportunities for multiple academic fields at Missouri Valley College, including, but not limited to Education, Non-profit Management, Fine Arts, Nursing, Accounting and Exercise Science
    • Providing employee benefits for Missouri Valley College faculty and staff
  • Parent Advisory Board

    The Parent Advisory Board is an opportunity for parents and teachers to work together to provide the best experience we can for our students. Meetings are held at the Viking Learning Academy the first Tuesday of every month, beginning at 6 p.m.

    Parent Advisory Board meetings are held per semester. An agenda for each meeting will be posted on the Viking Learning Academy Facebook page prior to the meeting. Parents wishing to discuss a particular topic are asked to let the VLA director know at least 24 hours in advance.
