Become the musician you want to be. Become a Music Minor. Take classes in vocal and instrumental music, Conducting, Music History, Theory, and Music Composition. For further information about the minor see Music Minor Requirements.

Ensembles and Performance Opportunities:
MVC offers a variety of vocal ensembles. Each group has a diverse style and is open to all interested students. Three choral ensembles are offered: Concert Choir, Valley Connection Show Choir, and Gospel Singers. The groups combine together for annual fall and spring mid-semester showcases, the Celebration of Christmas Choral Show and the Spring Choral Show. Opportunities for solo and small group work are also available through these shows or music recitals.

The groups also provide music for a variety of college and community events. Among the groups tour performances are: Six Flags, Disneyworld, Universal Studios, Carnival Cruise Ship, Nassau Bahamas, Dallas and Chicago areas.

The MVC Band is open to all interested students and performs a variety of instrumental literature music ranging from the classics to jazz.
