Missouri Valley College's Department of Theatre, Music, and Dance offers a variety of coursework and training in dance including modern, jazz, ballet and tap technique, improvisation, composition, dance history, integrating ethnic dance, independent study and more.

Major in Dance
We offer a BA in dance that prepares students for a variety of careers in dance or to enter a graduate dance program. Our program allows students to focus on individualized areas of interest in dance such as education, choreography, performance, and scholarship. Student have numerous opportunities to perform, choreograph, and design for both informal and mainstage productions. 

Missouri Valley College Repertory Dance Ensemble
The Missouri Valley College Repertory Dance Ensemble provides performance, choreographic and pre-production opportunities for our students throughout the year. The ensemble's broad repertoire consists of modern, jazz, ballet, tap, hip-hop and ethnic dance works. RDE works collaboratively with musicians, guest artists and the community. Its mission is to give students an excellent concert dance experience and to bring dance to the local community. For information on upcoming performances see the Production Calendar.

We offer a variety of scholarship opportunities for students interested in dance as a minor or those who audition and are selected for the Missouri Valley College Repertory Dance Ensemble. For more information on scholarships see Prospective Students.
