Morris Gallery of Contemporary Art
Yukari Kashihara received a Master of Fine Arts in ceramics in 2003 from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Her work is primarily porcelain, wheel-thrown, and one-of-a-kind functional pottery and sculpture.
During her graduate study, she received awards and scholarships, including an honorable mention from the Second World Biennale in South Korea. She also received the Oscar K. Fine Memorial purchase award from the Evansville, Indiana Museum of Arts, History, and Science, which placed her work in their permanent collection.
Additionally, her work has been accepted in numerous national and international juried art shows and regional shows, such as the Missouri 50 at the Missouri State Fair, where she won an award and first place from Art in the Park 2011 in Columbia, Missouri.
She currently works as a professional, full-time artist producing work at her studio in Rocheport, Missouri.
