Morris Gallery of Contemporary Art
Kevin is from Columbia, MO. He recieved his MFA in Photography from the University of Missouri in 2002. He teaches as an adjunct instructor for Westminster College, Fulton, MO, and as an online instructor for Columbia College in Photography. In the past year Kevin has been juried into severl iPhone exhibits. His work has been included in the MO 50 a number of times over the years. His work is part of the permanenet collection of First National Bank, Columbia, MO, and the Sprint Corporation, KC, MO.
Kevin's work is derived primarily from the Midwest Landscape. In this show the images are generated using the Apple iPhone camera and a variety of apps. "Today's camera phones provide a new genre of photography that is immediately available without the bulky-ness of other contemporary cameras." There are a variety of apps that allow the photographer to express what they are experiencing through the use of filters, post processing, textures, and borders.
The images in this exhibit have been shot over the past year, selected from botanicals, landscape, and Band shots.
