Allan Chow

Allan Chow

Dancing between Impressionism and Expressionism, Allan Chow's series of prairie paintings acknowledges the world that once thrived and all efforts protecting the majestic tallgrass prairie that struggles to exist today's modern civilization. With his intuitively developed palette and bold, spontaneous strokes of his palette knife, he gives form to the prairie and sky. Allan received his BFA in illustration from the Kansas City Art Institute. He has established a national following with his solo exhibitions, prestigious list of collectors including the Kansas Chiefs: Arrowhead Art Collection, Kansas City Royals, the University of Kansas Medical Center, H&R Block and private collections in Seattle, California, Hong Kong and Malaysia. He has given lectures at Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, University of Kansas City - Missouri and featured in The Artist's Magazine, International Artist Magazine, Societies of Illustrators of Los Angeles, New York and Korea.
