Jeanette Hernandez Prenger is the founder, CEO and president of ECCO Select, an IT consulting and services firm that offers technology services to Fortune 1000 companies and public-sector entities. ECCO Select offers both project work and supplemental staffing. The firm seeks out clients from a wide range of industries including, both the private and public sectors, as well as state and federal governments. The company is one of the top Hispanic-owned businesses in the United States, with clients like the Department of Agriculture, Homeland Security, Cerner and Sprint.

Prenger's business philosophies have guided ECCO Select's growth since 1995 from a staff of one to over 150 consultants across the United States, and year-over-year revenue growth averaging in the double digits. Since 2010, ECCO Select has grown more than 60 percent and has opened a second office in Washington, D.C., to better serve its government contracts.

Prenger has a background in technology and considers herself a "hands-on CEO." She received government certification as a minority-owned business in 2002 and has racked up an impressive list of awards. She's been recognized as one of the top 10 women executives in Kansas City by Ingram's magazine and as one of the city's most Influential Women by KC Business magazine.

In 2009, she was named CEO of the Year by the Latinos in Information Science and Technology Association and, in 2010, the U.S. Small Business Administration named her Minority Small Business Champion of the Year. Most recently, she was named one of the 2013 Enterprising Women of the Year by Enterprising Women magazine. This award honors women business owners who have demonstrated that they have fast - growth businesses, mentor or actively support other women and girls involved in entrepreneurship, and stand out as leaders in their communities.
