Scott B. Hartwig

President, CEO & Co-Owner, Red Cross Pharmacy, Inc.

Scott B. Hartwig, a Marshall native, is president, CEO and co-owner of Red Cross Pharmacy, Inc. After an internship with the Missouri Pharmacy Association, Hartwig was hired as the director of the Organization's professional affairs where he oversaw a retail pharmacy network that administered the prescription drug program for state of Missouri employees and retirees. In 1995, Hartwig accepted a sales position with Geneva Pharmaceuticals covering Missouri and Kansas calling on retail pharmacies, drug wholesalers, hospitals and institutional pharmacies. Nancy Allison is an agent for Shelter Insurance Companies. She has worked in the insurance industry for 40 years, in areas including communications, marketing, training and development, and claims. Allison currently runs her own agency operation and has grown the agency from under $200,000 to over $1.5 million in eight years.

In 1998, after three years of the corporate life, he joined Red Cross Pharmacy. When he joined the family-run business it was comprised of four retail pharmacies and a medical equipment company.

Under his leadership the company has grown over 900 percent in revenues and 400 percent in number of locations. For the past two years, the chain has been listed in Chain Drug Review as one of the top 50 largest drugstore chains in the country. Today the closely held family business consists of 15 retail pharmacies, three long term care pharmacies and two durable medical equipment companies employing over 300 Missourians.

Hartwig is also the managing member of two real estate holding companies that primarily invest in commercial real estate and farms. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for PBA Health, Marshall-Saline Development Corporation, Marshall Public Education Foundation, The Georgia Brown Blosser Home For Crippled Children and the Administration Commission for St. Peter Catholic Church.

Hartwig graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from the University of Central Missouri, formerly known as Central Missouri State University.
