William Bean '68

Real Estate Developer

William Bean grew up in Lee's Summit, Missouri and graduated from Lee's Summit High School in 1963. He attended Missouri Valley College and graduated in 1968 with a bachelor's degree in economics, with a minor in accounting. Bean went on to receive his MBA in finance from the University of Colorado.

Upon graduation from MVC, Bean began working as an internal auditor for LMF Corporation in Kansas City. After some time, he was transferred to Boulder, Colorado to LMF's Foster Lumber Company division to serve in the controllership position.

In 1978, Bean started in the commercial and investment real estate business with Fuller and Company in Denver, Colorado. Here, he gained experience in sales, marketing and the structure of real estate transactions.

In 1989, Bean moved to California and founded a small real estate brokerage company devoted exclusively to the mobile home park investment business. Bean has achieved a reputation as a leader in the field of mobile home park investment in California, Texas and Florida.
