Tim Rutten

BlackLabel

Tim Rutten is the co-founder of BlackLabel, a company whose services range from branding, advertising and photography, to online marketing and web development.

Rutten co-founded his first business when he was just 14. One of his start-ups, TextHamster, was a cash-prize winner at the 2010 LIOF Yeah! competition. LIOF Yeah! is an annual competition for students with entrepreneurial ambitions in Limburg, the Netherlands. In 2011 he was awarded the Kauffman Global Scholarship. The Global Scholars Program gives recent graduates who are aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs the opportunity to develop their entrepreneurial skills and ideas, competencies, and capabilities. The program allowed Rutten to study entrepreneurship at Harvard, Stanford and MIT.

Rutten feels driven to inspire other entrepreneurs, serving as the Dutch ambassador for the Sandbox Network, an organization that helps inspire young leaders. In addition Rutten is a fellow for the Power of Youth organization, an organization dedicated to supporting game-changing entrepreneurs by helping them garner global exposure.
