Vaughn X. Prost has been active in the electric energy industry since 1975, beginning as a young engineer at Bechtel Corporation in San Francisco, Calif. In 1977, Prost assisted in the conceptual design and cost estimate for the first solar power tower project with heliostat mirrors located in Barstow, Calif.

Prost holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Missouri and a master’s degree in engineering from Stanford University. He is a registered professional engineer in California and Missouri and a North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners certified solar PV installer.
