Sister
Katherine Ann Wildt has a B.A. in English from Creighton University,
Omaha, NE, 1970; an M.A. in English from Creighton University,
Omaha, NE, 1975; and a Ph.D. in English from St. Louis University,
St. Louis, MO, 1996.
Wildt is a member of the National Council Teachers of
English, Missouri Philological Association, Modern Language
Association,
Victorians Institute, and the Gaskell Society.
Wildt has published in the following journals/publications:
Teaching English in the Two-Year College, Nebraska English
Counselor, Sisters Council Newsletter, and in Focus. She
also authored Elizabeth Gaskell¹s Use of Color in
Her Industrial Novels and Short Stories.
Wildt has received the following awards: the John McCallum
Excellence in Teaching Award from Missouri Valley College,
Who's Who Among America¹s Teachers, Honorable Mention
in The HarperCollins Fellowship Competition, Most Influential
Teacher Award from University of Missouri-Columbia, and
Who's Who in American Education.
Teaching/Research interests lie in British Literature,
Victorian Literature, Art, Elizabeth Gaskell, Modern Literature,
particularly American and British, Science Fiction and
Fantasy.
