Heather Troth was born and raised in Leawood, Kansas, a southern suburb of Kansas City.† She enjoyed 4 years at William Jewell College participating in basketball, track and soccer before graduating with a B.A. degree.†She also holds a M.A. in Business from Lindenwood College.

After graduation she went to work for Marriott International, holding numerous positions in operations and sales and marketing.†Heather worked for properties in both Kansas City and Nashville, TN.†

Heather also worked for Holiday Inn Founder Kemmons Wilsonís private company out of Memphis, TN, as a director of sales and marketing.

Heatherís first experience in higher education came at Lambuth University in Jackson, TN, as Director of Advancement and Public Relations.

In 1993, Heather married Paul Troth.†Paul and Heather moved to Huron, South Dakota where they accepted positions as the head football coach and director of student services respectively.†As the director of student services, Heather implemented the schoolís first full orientation weekend and semester long freshman orientation class.

In 2003, Heather came to work at Missouri Valley College where she has served in a number of capacities including: retention coordinator, director of campus life, dual credit coordinator, retention officer and instructor.

Heather and Paul have three daughters, Keegan and Kelsey, Karson, and one son, Palmer.†In her free time she enjoys coaching youth athletic teams, volunteering with youth organizations, the local animal shelter and other agencies when time allows.
