I'm a Utah native and the answer to the second question is "no." I earned a B.S. in Anthropology from the University of Utah and an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary.

For the last twelve years, I've served as solo pastor to the 1st Presbyterian Churches of Slater and Marshall, Missouri. And for the past six years, I've been here at Valley, too; first as an adjunct professor and now as the campus chaplain and assistant professor of religion.
