Dawn S. Medley has a bachelor's in English Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a Master's in Human Service Administration from Southeast Missouri State University. She is currently completing her doctorate in higher education leadership from Lindenwood University.

Medley has served as the Chief Enrollment Officer at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville, the Vice-President of Enrollment Management at Forest Institute, and currently oversees student success at Missouri Valley. Her areas of supervision include new student orientation, freshmen seminar, ADA services, the Learning Center, ESL, retention, developmental English, developmental math, transfer orientation, and career services.

Her research interests are focused on student retention, success, and institutional interventions to enhance student success.
