Wendy Leslie has a B.S. in English, Speech, and Theatre, with a minor in Business Administration from Missouri Valley College, 1991, and an M.A. in English Literature from Central Missouri State University in 1992.
She began her teaching career at MVC in 1992, and she implemented the Developmental English Programs. She is a member of Sigma Tau Delta, Past President of Sigma Tau Delta, was a member of Marshall Chamber of Commerce Community Betterment Committee, Chair, Marshall Chamber of Commerce Health Education and Awareness Committee, Missouri Valley College Business & Social Sciences Honor Society, Chair MVC Student Advisory Committee, guest lecturer for World Religions classes, originator of the MVC Scholar Recognition Banquet, Faculty Senate, Academic Search Committees, Rewarding Excellent Faculty Committee, and various other committees.
She has been awarded recognition for inclusion in Who's Who Among America's Teachers; International Who's Who Among Professionals; Central Missouri State University Regents Scholar; Missouri Valley College Charles L. Bacon Outstanding Student Award; MVC Deans List; MVC Presidential Scholar; National Deans List; Who's Who Among College Students; MVC Graduate Summa Cum Laude; Central Missouri State University Graduate Magna Cum Laude; and the Central Missouri State University Writing Scholarship Award.
Her teaching interests are in English Literature and Public Speaking.
