Jennifer Eimers , Ph. D.
Assistant Professor of English
Study Abroad Coordinator

I earned a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia (2008), an M. A. from Creighton University (2001), and a B.A. from Grand View College (1999). My recently completed dissertation is titled It is Art that Makes Life: Experiencing Visual Art in Henry James's Novels. My teaching and research interests include American literature, particularly of the nineteenth-century, and Southern literature. The Henry James Review and two other book collections have published my work. I have also presented papers on Charles Brockden Brown, Edgar Allan Poe, and Lee Smith.

At Missouri Valley College, I also coordinate Study Abroad opportunities.
