The Missouri Valley College School of Nursing offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). The bachelor’s of science includes a traditional face-to-face track, an LPN-BSN face-to face track, and an online LPN-BSN track.

Why a degree in Nursing from Missouri Valley?

Missouri Valley College’s liberal arts foundation benefits nursing students by fostering critical thinking and lifelong learning skills that are necessary for clinical practice. Our nursing program is a 2+2 program consisting of two years of core and prerequisite courses as a pre-nursing major, and two years of nursing courses and clinical experiences once accepted into the nursing program. In addition to the 2+2 traditional BSN program, we offer an LPN to BSN face-to-face and an LPN to BSN online track.

As a nursing student at Missouri Valley, you’ll gain experience in a variety of clinical settings, including local community hospitals, tertiary care centers, and other community health centers and agencies. The MVC nursing program follows standards and guidelines set forth by the Missouri State Board of Nursing and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The nursing program has been granted conditional approval by the Missouri State Board of Nursing. The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at Missouri Valley College is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

- LPNs must reside in Missouri and have an active unencumbered license

TEAS Exam Policy
The MVC nursing program requires applicants to complete the TEAS exam as a component of the application process. Instructions for starting an ATI account to register for the exam are located on the MVC nursing website. MVC is an approved TEAS exam site. Students will be able to complete the TEAS exam during official exam test dates. These dates are posted on the MVC nursing webpage.

- Students must obtain a 58.7% (Proficient) or higher.
- The ATI best practice for administering TEAS retakes, to help ensure students, best results is to limit the number of retakes per year with remediation periods between retakes. Students retaking the TEAS should be administered a different form from their previous TEAS attempts. Each student should be limited to three retakes in one year so all assessments taken are from different forms. The suggested remediation period is two weeks to 30 days, which is an appropriate time length and follows the majority of institutions’ remediation period.
- TEAS scores completed at an alternate location are eligible if official exam scores are provided by applicant.

For international students educated abroad and are non-native English speakers, the BSN Program follows the same requirements regarding English test scores required by Missouri Valley College.
